Outdoor shoot with Nikon 35mm f/1.4G

Have been eyeing the location for a while. 1st May seemed like the perfect time to utilize this space surrounding an open carking parking lot. This was also the first proper photoshoot with the 35mm f/1.4G. I tried using the shallow aperture(from between f/1.4-2). Dearly missed carrying a reflector(I dont usually take one but could have borrowed it from a friend). The light was gorgeous, and if used well from the back, could have given some dreamy results.
The key to getting amazing photographs in such atmosphere is to use the light to the best effect. Really need to try out some backlit shots in the future. Wonderland-II
I quite like this B&W image, though it tends to look dull against light backgrounds. wonderland The only straight out of camera out of the lot: Happy in the sun This was the most tricky shot to get, with the heavy wind blowing the ferns frantically, the focussing was quite difficult: DSC_1656-2 This was taken at another location, at Sun Wen Park which had interestingly lit narrow alleys. Again, quite like the effect of the shallow aperture with the extended alley. Happy in the sun
